Clients have a deadline to review your content, and if they do not take any action the job will get auto-approved after a length of time has passed. This time is generally 7 business days for direct business clients (DC accounts) and 14 business days for marketing agencies (AG accounts). The exact deadline for auto-approval is listed on your Pending Review screen.

Auto-approval protects writers when the client has essentially disappeared. When a job auto-approves, it's just like any other approval. The client purchases the content and now owns it, and the payment is scheduled to be transferred to you for that pay period. They cannot send the job back for revisions at this point.

My job's auto-approval deadline changed?
If the client takes no action, the job goes to auto-approval on the listed date. However, the auto-approval deadline is extended whenever the client reviews the content but does not approve, decline, or request revisions.

This happens for a few reasons. First, often your content is getting reviewed by multiple people. Two employees of a business might be involved, or a marketing agency might review internally and then invite their client to give final approval. Extending the auto-approval deadline ensures that each person in the chain gets ample time to review.

If you feel that the auto-approval deadline keep getting extended and you don't know why, feel free to post a message to your client to ask about their timeline and when the content will ultimately be reviewed.
