I've been working part-time on the platform for a few years, and just wanted to share a small victory. A few days ago I achieved 1000 approved jobs.

Yay! That's awesome, Georgette!

And, while I'm thrilled about your #1000 milestone (truly "number" # - not "hashtag," which is funny b/c I don't have a Twitter account and still have NO CLUE how it actually works - even though I blog about it in marketing articles all the time. HA!)** - I'm mostly thrilled that you're still alive.

I've been missing the forum regulars. It's like everyone went into summer hibernation - which hasn't really happened in previous summers.

Good to "see" you again :-)

**Which goes to show that you can make a living writing about lots of things you actually don't really know about. It's baffling.

Thanks for sharing Georgette. That is really an awesome accomplishment. We truly appreciate all the hard work you've done for clients to achieve this milestone.

Congratulations!

Deb, thank you! I was pretty psyched because it felt like it took forever to get there. :)

And thank you too, Carrie! Don't feel alone, I'm social-media-challenged as well; to me, that is the pound sign. :D Hope you and your little one are doing great.

Steve, thank you, sir! I tell others about the platform all the time because it has truly been a blessing to our family.

Thank you, guys!

Be patient Joe, you'll get there. I've done quite a few "long" projects, so getting to that number took a while. :)

Wow! That's great...Congrats, Georgette!!! Though I must admit I'm a little jealous :). It seems you've reached the "magic" number much sooner than I...(Yes, it happened a few months ago, but it took me about three years to get there...) Keep up the good work!!

@Carrie: we're all alive...I guess the "summer hibernation" is the result of the recent forum changes...though it might take a while, we'll get the ball back on the field...Kirsten, Darcie, Zoe, Monica, Beth...are you there?

Congrats; that's awesome! And I agree with Carrie - I've missed chatting with everyone around this "water cooler" lately too!

Ladies, thank you!! You all are so sweet!

Maria, don't feel too jealous, I've been writing on the platform since May 2012... (it took me almost a year to discover the forum) and I actually felt like I was the only one who hadn't attained that goal. Carrie has a like a bazillion, or something! :D

Emily, me too--the camaraderie. I hope your little ones are doing great. :)

That's amazing!! Congrats! I'm nearing the 500 mark myself so I'm very impressed at 1000!!

I've been missing the comments, opinions and tips lately too!

Great job! I just hit number 250 myself, after my first year here. It's good to see a number way up there to which I can aspire. Congratulations!

I don't have a bazillion :-) But I do have quite a bit. It's all relative, though.

My Zerys numbers have dropped off significantly since Digital Sherpa was bought out and left the platform. Remember the days of all those easy, fun and diverse 250-word articles that populated the boards on a regular basis? The bulk of my accepted assignments originated in those good ol' days. I was DAd quite a bit from several of the editors there, which was so nice.

It was like bread and buttah.

Now I have to work hard for my money.

Harder, anyway. It's still a pretty awesome way to make a living, if I do say so myself. Who can handle bosses, time clocks, mandatory dress codes and asking for permission to take time off when you want to after being a freelancer?? NOT ME, that's for sure!

Right on! I'm with ya. In fact, I spend most of my days wearing pajamas or Pilates pants. It's fabulous.

On a side note--I'm geek-joyful today because my Star Fleet Academy keychain and Star Trek stamps were delivered! I'm trying to earn the extra money so I can buy one of those awesome communicators that actually look the originals, and work! :D  Check it:
