Approved jobs are immediately scheduled for payment. When you see that a job has gone into Approved status, check your Earning Details. It will appear in the list of all jobs to be paid for that pay period.
We use PayPal to transfer payments from buyers to writers, so you must have a valid PayPal account in order to be paid. Each writer and each writer account must have his/her own separate PayPal account.
At this time we do not offer any other method of payment transfer.
Pay periods begin on the 1st and the 15th of each month. Payments will usually be deposited into your account within 3 business days of the pay period end date, however, due to varying Paypal transfer times and other delays beyond our control, it could take as long as 14 additional days for funds to appear in your account. You can view your upcoming payments, as well as your complete earnings history, at any time within your account in Reports > Earning Details.
You will only receive a payment for a pay period if you have job(s) approved during that pay period. If you submitted an article during the pay period but it is still pending review, the payment will not be transferred until after the buyer has approved it.
The most common reason why a writer doesn't see a deposit owed to their PayPal account is that the payment is unclaimed or denied. This could be due to a number of factors. If you do not see your payment, please contact Support and we will look into the status.
Here is what PayPal tells merchants about unclaimed payments:
"A payment might be unclaimed because:
1. The recipient hasn’t signed up for a PayPal account yet.
2. You sent money to an email address that the recipient hasn’t added to their PayPal account. As soon as they add the address to their account, the money will show up in their balance.
3. The recipient is still deciding whether they want to accept your payment. (This can happen if you don’t have a Confirmed address.)
After 30 days, an unclaimed payment is automatically canceled and the money is returned to you."
If we find that the payment was denied, we will advise you to contact PayPal. They will be able to tell you why your account cannot accept payments from us.
