You can claim one job at a time from the job boards — including the New Clients Job Board and My Clients Job Board. The content needs to be submitted before you can claim another.
If you have to put a job on hold to ask the client a question, however, you can claim another job to work on while you are waiting. You can have up to 3 from the job board on hold (if you have 2 on hold, you can claim another; but if you have 3 on hold you need to finish at least one of them before claiming another job).
Direct assignments are unlimited, and they are treated separately from the job boards for these purposes. You can claim a job from the board while you have direct assignments in progress, and vice versa.
